ProfessionalsISAS is currently offering one to one and group counselling for males and females 16 plus who have experienced sexual violence in their lives. We also work with partners, carers and non abusive family members. We are an organisational member of the BACP (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy), The Survivors Trust and The National Counselling Society. All of our volunteer counsellors are either in their final year of their diploma or qualified. The strict selection procedure ensures that our counsellors are suitably appropriate to work with our client group and the in depth training ensures that we equip every member of our team with the skills and awareness to be able to work with our clients. Our counsellors are either accredited or working towards their accreditation. They are provided with a buddy (an experienced ISAS counsellor) for the initial six months of working with our clients. They all engage in monthly supervision which is provided by suitably qualified and experience supervisors externally. All ISAS counsellors engage in regular on-going Professional Development with appropriate training and peer supervision provided monthly. This training can also be accessed by appropriate professionals. Please see our current training timetable. We can also bespoke our training for in-house training which we provide to organisations at a cost that helps contribute towards the ongoing costs to continue to provide the invaluable counselling services. |
