Sara Thomas - Chief Executive Officer - ISAS

Sara’s role is to support the Board of Trustees in delivering their goals for ISAS. In addition to this she undertakes fundraising roles, develops partnerships with relevant organisations and ensures that ISAS is and develops as a professional organisation. Her background is in working with survivors of sexual violence, families with substance use issues, commissioning and contract management and programme management.

Lynn Brooks - Operations Manager - ISAS

Lynn's role is to support the recruitment, training and assessment of ISAS counsellors' and undertake initial assessments with service users. Lynn's role is to line manage the posts below and to assist the Chief Executive Officer in development projects. Lynn has 18 years experience in counselling and supporting survivors of sexual violence as well as experience in working in the public sector.

Karen Dawson - Volunteers Services Co-ordinator - ISAS

Karen’s role is to support the recruitment, training and assessment of ISAS Counsellors and to support Counsellors in their day-to-day work, organising room bookings and matching survivors to Counsellors. Karen’s background is in Counselling in Women’s Services and mental health. Karen has been a counsellor for the past 14 years having volunteered as a counsellor for ISAS for the past three. Karen runs our Male Therapeutic Group.

Leonie Smith - Rape Support Project Manager - ISAS

Leonie runs our specialist Rape Support Project, offering immediate support to rape survivors once they are referred to ISAS. Leonie matches survivors with Counsellors and also offers telephone support. Leonie has worked with ISAS for 7 years and has a background in working in the public sector with a range of client groups from children with learning difficulties to adults with mental health issues. She has experience working with clients privately and also providing counselling and clinical supervision.
